ELE 466 - Advanced Urban Teaching Residency II and Seminar in the Urban Elementary School K-6

Required culminating residency with children and a mentor teacher in an urban elementary grades (K-6) classroom for urban teacher candidates seeking elementary education licensure. Placement is for a minimum of sixteen full-time weeks based on the teacher candidate’s Individualized Student Teaching Plan that is developed with and approved by the teacher candidate’s advisor and the Site Coordinator the semester prior to student teaching. Weekly reflections, periodic seminars with other student teachers, performance-based assessment, and the development of a standards-based e-folio are also required.
