Educators seeking licensure in Arkansas are required to take certain Praxis exams. The specific tests required may depend on various factors, such as the grade level and subject candidates plan to teach. Testing requirements and passing scores are determined by the Arkansas State Board of Education. This course will provide support to teacher candidates in pursuing licensure standards for passing required certification exams. This course will engage candidates in preparing for the Pearson’s Foundations of Reading Test, edTPA (The Teacher Performance Assessment is a performance-based, subject-specific assessment to measure the skills and knowledge that all teachers need to successfully enter the classroom.), and Apple Teacher Certification. Clinical field experience hours are part of the course requirements (5 hours).
