EDU 343 - Curriculum and Methods of Teaching in Urban Elementary Education 3 Credit Hours
Deeper dive into general methods of teaching in urban elementary schools focusing on planning, teaching strategies, management, assessment, and differentiation. This course examines the philosophies of management and planning and the intersection of the two. Teacher candidates will explore a variety of management approaches and begin developing their own management philosophy. In addition, teacher candidates will explore multiple instructional approaches and strategies and use these to design and implement a lesson. Clinical field experience hours are part of the course requirements (25 hours).
