Offers a continuation of Theory I; this course offers additional training in the harmonic practices of the “Common Practice” period. It includes the study of embellishments, cadence functions, harmonic rhythm, and an introduction to dominant seventh chords.

Prerequisite: MUS 115.
Concurrent: The course should be taken concurrently with MUS 127.
